Flamin' Hot with Meg Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion has teamed up with the Frito Lay brand Flamin' Hot to bring us Flamin Hot University or "FU" for short. The fictitious university is an online platform with the motto "Education is Hot", to encourage the importance of education. With a line of special limited edition merchandise and special packaging on your favorite Flamin' Hot snacks, Meg encourages students to embrace the spicy, rebellious spirit of the brand.

On the "FU" website, you'll find short courses on food, fashion and lifestyle. The platform was created to express the importance of education and add a little fun and spice. On her rise to fame, Megan Thee Stallion always talked about her journey as a college student. The GRAMMY award winning rapper from Houston graduated in 2021 from TSU with a Bachelor's degree in Health Administration.

With this partnership, the Flamin Hot brand has committed to creating a scholarship fund of up to $150,000 to help benefit students at TSU. Proceeds from the limited edition merch, designed by Melody Ehsani will go towards the scholarship. The Flamin' Hot Fund is for Texas Southern University seniors that are enrolled in school full-time with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. To apply, students have to submit a video up to 90 seconds long detailing how they could benefit from having less student loan debt after graduating. Student loan debt threatens talented graduates of HBCUs with an average debt load of $32,373 after graduation – 19% higher than peers at non-HBCUs. This scholarship was created to help alleviate the current loan debt so students can focus on making it to graduation day.

Flamin' Hot is also donating $100K to the Pete and Thomas Foundation, the non profit organization that Meg founded in 2022 that aims to uplift and assist women, children, seniors and underserved communities in her hometown of Houston Texas. You can also buy a variety of Flamin Hot snacks like Cheetos, Doritos, Ruffles and Funyuns.

Shout to to Frito Lay, Megan Thee Stallion & Texas Southern University for creating this opportunity for college students.
